Founded in 1979, Christians in the Visual Arts exists to explore and nurture the relationship between the visual arts and Christian faith. CIVA is a non-profit organization with members in the US, Canada and 40 other countries. Artists, educators, graphic designers, liturgical designers, historians, curators, museums, galleries, churches, academics, theologians and friends of the arts from a wide variety of denominational affiliations constitute its membership.

The fellowship of Wilshire Baptist Church proudly supports the fine arts community of the Dallas area. In addition to its "Worship and the Arts" series, Wilshire routinely presents the best in contemporary music through its "Downstairs Café" - featuring artists such as Bill Malonee and the VOL, Charlie Peacock and Pierce Pettis.
