Presenting the 13th Annual Trinity Arts Conference: "THE GIFT OF THE UNKNOWN"

Come to the 2009 TAC to explore with us how art and faith work to keep the mysterious gift of the unknown alive.

GOD AND HIS CREATION FAR EXCEED the vision of any one person.

Because there is no telling what is yet to be seen, we must always be open to new insights, considering our conclusions to be tentative. In this way, that which is unknown to us is a blessing. It keeps our curiosity alive and our purpose fresh.

The genius of art is to allow an expanded vision into our carefully ordered view of the world, though the recognition that our boundaries are arbitrary can be deeply unsettling. Art prevents us from being lulled by our own limited horizons, keeping us attentive to what lies beyond them: the enigma of others and the inscrutability of God. Yet faith gives us the strength to embrace the unknown boldly.
